History says that the Macedonians descended from Upper Macedonia, passed Vermio and Aliakmonas and made Aiges their capital. It is in Mieza that Alexander the Great was taught by Aristotle, in Vergina that he experienced the death of his father, in Pella that he reigned and in Dion that he sacrificed to the Olympian gods before departing for his great campaign. All these places, with modern archaeological discoveries, and the glorious landscapes of Imathia are presented in this album.
